The Mornington Peninsula’s outdoor adventure playground
At the top of Arthurs Seat, you’ll find a place where adventure, nature and play come together.
For more than 25 years, Enchanted Adventure has created experiences that invite people of all ages to get outside, get curious, and have fun. From soaring through the treetops and racing down Tube Slides to navigating mazes, tackling giant puzzles and wandering through beautifully themed gardens, there’s no one way to explore Enchanted Adventure.
Think of it as the Mornington Peninsula’s outdoor adventure playground, a place to climb, slide, scramble, explore, discover and play, all amongst 25 acres of gardens, bushland and spectacular views.
Whether you’re seeking adrenaline, looking for something different to do, or spending the day outdoors, there’s plenty to discover. Take on our Tree Surfing courses and Sky Scramble, challenge your brain with our giant puzzles and mazes, wander through the gardens or let the kids loose on the Tube Slides.
There’s adventure for the thrill-seekers, discovery for the curious and plenty of opportunities to simply enjoy being together.

In the beginning…
Every adventure has a beginning. Ours started with a piece of land, some big ideas and a love of creating joyful places that unite people.
In 1994, the first block of land at Arthurs Seat was purchased with a vision to create something unique to the Mornington Peninsula: a destination filled with gardens and mazes designed to enliven the senses and challenge the mind.
Three years later, Arthurs Seat Maze opened its gates. What began as a collection of gardens, mazes and picnic areas has continued to grow, evolve and spark curiosity.
Today, those original gardens are part of a bigger adventure. Across 25 acres, Enchanted Adventure combines nature, play, discovery and with experiences designed to get people moving, thinking, laughing and exploring.
The Maize Maze
Early on, the park included a specially designed (and wildly popular) ‘Maize Maze’ that had a different pattern or image each summer for a new challenge. Each pattern was unique and had to be plotted carefully with the help of aerial assistance for accuracy.
Over the years, the ‘Maize Maze’ included designs such as a clown, flower, pirate, kangaroo and more. Guests who explored this maze were given colourful flags to help the staff members locate them if they got lost and needed help to find their way out.
The ‘Maize Maze’ was so popular that it drew attention from local and state newspapers. The owner, Michael, and the park were featured several times in the media to announce the new design each summer and inspire families to visit.
The next stage to enhance the park was including sculptures and hedge topiary. This was aided with the ‘Artist in Residence’ program, which allowed local artists to create sculpture art inspired by the land & park around them.
The park was later expanded even further by the purchase of an additional block of bushland. This new block allowed the team to expand our Sculpture Walks as well as build and create our indoor 3D Spooky Maze & Mirror House as well as our Tube Slide attraction.
Ten years later, our Tree Surfing courses were added to the park on that same bushland block, helping to jumpstart the owner’s vision for an eco-adventure park on the Mornington Peninsula.
2018 – 2020
In recent years, we have added in an additional hedge maze with a unique & locally designed Viewing Platform in the centre, various boardwalks to further immerse guests in the natural bushland and more locally handcrafted sculptures. To top it off, we saw the opening of our Sky Scramble attraction at the end of 2020, a specially designed aerial playground for smaller children under 135cm.
The adventure continues…
More than 25 years on, Enchanted Adventure has grown into the Mornington Peninsula’s Outdoor Adventure Playground, an award-winning natural attraction nestled in the beautiful hinterland of Arthurs Seat.
What started with gardens, mazes and picnic spaces has evolved into a place filled with ways to play, explore, challenge yourself and connect with the people you love. From soaring through the treetops to getting lost in a maze, there’s something for everyone to discover.
And we’re not finished yet.
Owner Michael’s passion for creating new experiences continues to shape the park. In 2022, the Tube Slides expanded with three new slides, followed by the arrival of MisAdventure Voyage in 2023, a uniquely themed, interactive playground where imaginations can run wild.
